DEPO-KC

Bridging the digital divide in Kansas City…together.

What is DEPO-KC?

DEPO-KC: a Kansas City-based nonprofit focused on Awareness, Assistance, Alignment, Advocacy, and Accountability of those receiving and using federal, state, local, and donated funds in the pursuit of digital equity for the bi-state area. We are here to support nonprofits striving to bridge the digital divide in the region to make a larger impact and secure additional funding to broaden the work they do. The mission of DEPO-KC is to conquer the digital inequity in our region through the support of those doing the work within communities small and large.

Awareness

Highlighting funding opportunities and engaging with gap-filling organizations

Assistance

Helping to achieve consistent grant writing, data collecting, and reporting.

Alignment

Managing a community ‘scorecard’ from goals determined by all funding sources.

Advocacy

Promoting all organizations committed to digital equity programs.

Accountability

Committing all partners to collaboration, transparency, and data sharing.

“To improve digital access for our communities we must work together to hold each other accountable to the standards set by those awarding us investments to continue to bridge the gap in our under-served neighborhoods.”
